Bascom Lodge is a rustic arts and crafts mountain lodge built in the 1930’s by volunteers from the Conservations Corps. Constructed of local stone and old growth red spruce timbers, the lodge was designed in an architectural style that would later become the blueprint for American’s National Parks. Nestled on the summit of Mt. Greylock, the state’s highest mountain, the lodge is the centerpiece of a 12,500 acre wilderness park and in 2017 will celebrate its 80th season of operation.
Located in the northwestern corner of Massachusetts, in the heart of Berkshire County, a short drive from Williamstown to the north and Pittsfeild, Lenox, and Lee to the south, the lodge is easily accessible from both Boston (Mass Pike) and New York City (The Taconic Parkway).
